The Debrecen District Prosecutor’s Office has indicted a man who, due to a previous conflict, sprayed a chemical product with a corrosive effect on the stock of a neighboring store due to minor damage.
Both the accused and the victim operate small shops on the external store of a department store in Debrecen, which are next to each other.
There was a previous disagreement between the Chinese man and the injured shopkeeper, so out of revenge, the accused went into the shop and the adjacent toy store between 6 pm on June 3, 2018, and 10 am on June 4, 2018, at an unspecified time. and sprinkled an unknown corrosive chemical through the sealed grid on the souvenir stock.
In the same way, on July 22, 2018, at about 3 p.m., the defendant also damaged several nearby goods through the grid of the closed gift shop.
The chemical damaged the products to such an extent that they became unsaleable, causing the defendant to cause more than HUF 58,000 in damage to the victim, which was not recovered.
The case was investigated by the Debrecen Police Headquarters.
The Debrecen District Prosecutor’s Office brought charges against the accused of admitting the commission of the crime for violation of minor damage in the Debrecen District Court. In the indictment for the execution of a sentence, the district prosecutor’s office proposed that the district court impose a fine on the accused based on the content of the documents and adjudicate on the merits of the civil claim submitted by the victim.
